The First National Conference on Surface and Interface Science of the Chinese Chemical Society was held in Chengdu, Sichuan from May 9 to 12, 2025. Organized by the Physical Chemistry Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and hosted by the Key Laboratory of Nano-devices Physics and Chemistry, Peking University, the conference is one of the largest and highest level academic events in the field of surface and interface science in China. Dr. Jianbo Tang delivered a talk on “Liquid metals for designing mesoporous noble metal thin films for biosensing” in the Surface and Interface-Based Sensing Session. He received a Young Scientist Award that recognizes outstanding young scholars who have demonstrated exceptional research potential and made significant academic contributions in the field of surface and interface science.
