Jianbo Tang, Ph.D.
Group Leader

Jianbo Tang obtained a bachelor’s degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University and a PhD degree from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He worked as a postdoc at Tsinghua University and later at University of New South Wales (UNSW, Australia). Before joining Westlake University, he was appointed as a Lecturer (equiv. Assistant Professor) at UNSW. Dr. Tang has been awarded national fellowships by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Australian Research Council (through the Discovery Early Career Researcher Award scheme). He currently leads the New Phase Metallics and Manufacturing Laboratory (the NPMM Lab) at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering within School of Engineering, Westlake University.
